Rugby stocks a abundant variety of hardwood plywood products to meet your most critical design applications. These panels are constructed using a variety of core materials, including veneer, MDF, particleboard and composite core. Your individual performance requirements determine core use. Performance requirements incorporate panel flatness, dimensional stability, screw holding ability, flexibility and visual edge appearance.
All face veneers offered through Rugby are of the highest quality available in North America. They include an extensive array of wood species as well as a wide variety of veneer configurations that will best determine the visual appearance of your finished plywood project. Any veneer, core and/or grade component, not stocked at a Rugby distribution point, is available on a special order basis.
Rugby stocks a diverse selection of imported plywood. All imported plywood stocked by Rugby is CARB Phase 1 certified (many are phase 2 or CARB exempt). These imported panels compliment our domestic hardwood plywood offering by providing both aesthetic value and structural integrity, in many cases, at more affordable price points. Veneer faces are either fancy (oak, maple) or softwood (meranti, radiata pine) and are used for decorative or structural construction. Our import plywood line is represented by products from China, Indonesia, Russia and several South American and African plywood partners. Many of our imported plywood products are plantation grown and are considered highly renewable wood products.
Because of our national distribution footprint, we have access to additional products not stocked in our warehouse, via availability through any of our import partners. Most of these items are available within a few days lead time.
Our highly trained sales staff can assist you with determining the proper core and face veneer for your specific application. Contact your nearest Rugby distribution center for additional information and assistance on your hardwood plywood needs.
